Save your game and go to the horse races. Do not bet, just make a note of the winners. Reset the game and load your saved game. Then, go to the horse races again and bet on the horses that won.

Buy a Pond. During the Summer of the 2nd year wake up later than you wife and go outside and you will have Ducks.

In chapter two, go to Nina's grave at 6:30am. Talk to Garen to play the tombstone washer mini-game.

Change the Weather
If there is some weather that you do not want, enter the mine and dig. When you are done, the weather will have changed.

Easy Money
Get the seed maker, and then buy a fruit tree, wait for the fruit to grow and instead of selling the fruit put it in the seed maker and use some more seeds to plant more trees and sell the other seeds to van (the seeds sell for more money than the fruit).

Free seed maker
Befriend Daryl by giving him fish. When his second attempt to capture Mukumuku fails go to his house and he will give you a free seed maker that he has been working on (he tries to catch Mukumuku at night, walk out of your house around 9:00 or 10:00 PM).

Get a Pet Cat
Befriend Romana by giving her flowers and in the 2nd year Fall wake up later than your wife and go outside and Romana will give you a cat.

You can buy the Goat from Van during the 2nd year spring. The goat costs 4,000 dollars so save up.

You get the blue feather from the Harvest Sprites in the fall or winter.

Befriend Mukumuku by giving him fish and eggs and in the 2nd year he will give you a pet lizard.

Never Ending Golden Wool
Get a sheep, brush, and wool shears (not electric clippers). Then, push your sheep to the water box outside. wash your sheep (with the brush) and brush it after that. Use the shears and cut the wool off the sheep. It won't work the first time but after that it will with the same technique.
